TOUR ITINERARY

 

 

DAY 1 - COBARGO TO BUCHAN

Today we start fresh after a big breakfast and make our way across the mountains to the "Monaro country" where we will stop for a relaxing lunch break. Then continuing South to cross the Victorian border. We will leave the open country behind here and travel through the tall timber country of the Snowy River National Park. This will then see us tackling and conquering the crossing of the famous "Snowy River". With that acheived we will make our last leg through the beautiful Buchan Basin, then onto town for a well deserved refreshment.

 

DAY 2 - BUCHAN TO DARGO

Creek crossings and steep country are the flavour of today. Following the Haunted Stream track, we will cross this stream that many times you will lose count. We will visit some historic high country huts along the way. Once we hit the Dargo River, its a nice scenic ride into our next overnight stop at Dargo, nestled in amongst the mountains.

 

DAY 3 - DARGO TO HARRIETVILLE

Today we climb through mountainous country while we head to over 1800 metres above sea level. Make sure you have charged your cameras as the views today will be something you don't want to miss. While tackling Billy Goats Bluff, South Basalt and Blue Rag Range this provides some nice photo opportunities, not to be missed.Time permitting, we will also drop into the Alpine ski village of Mt Hotham for a cool drink and a look around, and if your on the November spring tour then we will also have a look around for some lingering spring snow around the resort. Back in the saddle and onto the beautiful township of Harrietville where we will spend another relaxing night telling stories over a nice meal and a cold drink.

 

DAY 4 - HARRIETVILLE TO JINDABYNE

This morning will have us continuing through some small towns of rural Victoria, picking off a nice spot for lunch. After this we will start our climb back to 1800 metres above sea level when we hit the top of Mt Pinnibar. After this, it's now time to drop off the mountain and leave Victoria as we cross the mighty Murray River back into NSW. We will finish the day off with a nice winding tarmac road into the NSW ski village of Thredbo and onto Jindabyne.

 

DAY 5 - JINDABYNE TO COBARGO

Well, today marks the last day of riding. There will be some nice open trails and back roads as we wind through the monaro country before crossing through the Wadbilliga National Park and finishing up at Cobargo where we kicked off from.

 

 

 

 

** While every effort is made to have our tours run like clockwork, we need to remember that an "Adventure Tour" is exactly that! "  It's AN ADVENTURE". We are at the mercy of natures little hurdles, it may be a collapsed road, a river thats too high or an outback wind storm. Whatever the case may be, we will need to be flexible in these times and alter our course to get to our destination.
